The all-new BMW 6-Series convertible available at BMW of Macon, a top-rated BMW dealer in Georgia.
BMW has recently released the 2012 BMW 6-Series Convertible. Available to shoppers at BMW of Macon, this two-door convertible is sure to impress with its sleek design and state-of-the-art technology.
The 2012 BMW 650i Convertible available at your BMW dealer in Georgia has been released to Georgia shoppers looking for a stylish, comfortable and powerful car. This car still has the iconic BMW design and performance, but with refreshing updates that make this 6-Series that much more desirable.
The 650i convertible is an exciting update to a seemingly flawless design. While at BMW of Macon, a first glance of the car will make it appear slimmer than its predecessors because of its reduction in height. The car is in fact larger, though, as it has an extra 2.9 inches in length, 1.5 inches in width and 3 inches in its wheelbase. The car also includes Xenon Adaptive Headlights with retractable headlight washers, rain-sensing windshield wipers with adjustable speeds, 19-inch light-alloy wheels with BMW’s innovative run-flat all season tires, and the choice of standard or metallic paints.
This addition in size surely does not take away from the car in a performance standpoint. Underneath the hood is a 4.4-liter, 32-valve 400 horsepower V8 engine. The engine utilizes TwinPower Turbo technology, a 6-speed manual transmission with Driving Dynamics Control and electronically controlled engine cooling. This engine sends the 650i from zero to 62 mph in 5.0 seconds, which is a tenth faster than the older 650i convertible. To help support the power the car has to offer are four ventilated anti-lock disc brakes with Dynamic Brake Control (DBC) and electro-hydraulic brakes, a sport suspension, and Dynamic Traction Control (DTC). Also, located in the dash is a button to change the ride of the car, from Comfort, Normal, Sport and Sport Plus modes.
The interior of the car surpasses all expectations. The seats alone are impressive with a 20-way power front multi-contour design, including four-way lumbar support, articulated upper backrest, adjustable backrest width and side supports, adjustable thigh support, as well as a memory system for driver’s and front passenger’s seats. Beyond the seats, there are memory settings for the steering wheel, power-folding outside mirrors, leather upholstery, center console and door trim, rear-view camera, tire pressure monitor and an engine start/stop button.

Atlanta BMW shoppers can get all the great models of the 2011 3-Series at BMW Of Macon. The 3-Series comes in sedans, coupes, and convertibles that are sure to impress any Atlanta BMW driver.
The sedans have two main engines to choose from. The 328i uses a 3.0-liter I6 that generates 230 horsepower and 200 pound-feet of torque. With this engine, the 328i can go from 0 to 60 in 6.3 seconds. Its fuel economy rates as 28 mpg highway.
The 335i uses a 3.0-liter I6 turbocharged engine that pumps out 300 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque, getting from 0 to 60 in 5.4 seconds. It has a fuel economy of 26 mpg highway.
The 3-Series uses Active Cruise Control. Active Cruise Control is an advanced version of conventional cruise control systems. After setting the chosen speed and pre-set distance, radar measurements allow the driver to maintain a pre-set distance between his or her vehicle and the vehicle ahead in highway driving. As soon as sensors determine it is closing in on a vehicle ahead, the system automatically slows down to retain the pre-set distance. Once the distance has increased back to the chosen limit, the system automatically accelerates to return to its pre-set speed.
Every car in the 3-Series has an onboard computer which with Check Control. This provides feedback on the vehicle’s operating status: oil level indicator and distance to next service appointment/oil change, as well as other detailed information, such as spark plug and micro-filter status. It also provides travel information such as range on remaining fuel, external temperature and more.
Atlanta BMW drivers will love the safety features of the 3-series, like Dynamic Stability Control. Using built-in sensors to continually monitor multiple variables such as speed, steering angle, yaw, brake pressure and traction, the Dynamic Stability Control system can detect and, more importantly, help correct the loss of wheel traction immediately.
The 3-Series has Sirius Satellite Radio with a complementary 1-year subscription. Sirius has over 130 channels of music, sports, talk, news and weather. Only Sirius has the biggest names in entertainment like Martha Stewart, Howard Stern, Jamie Foxx, and the Blue Collar Comedy team. All this plays over 13 advanced stereo speakers, including 2 subwoofers. Drivers can also play their own music by hooking up an iPod or other mp3 player via the integrated jack in the control panel.
Atlanta BMW drivers can learn more about these and other vehicles by calling BMW of Macon at 478-757-7000 or visiting them online at http://www.bmwgeorgia.net today.

BMW Of Macon, a leading Atlanta BMW dealership, is showing off its selection of the BMW 1-series. The 1-series has four different vehicles in total: two models that each come in coupe or convertible editions.
The 128i uses a 3.0-liter I6 engine that generates 230 horsepower and 200 pound-feet of torque. The 135i uses the same engine but with twin scroll turbocharger that pumps it up to 300 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque. The 128i goes from 0-60 in 6.1 seconds, while the 135i comes in at 5 seconds flat with the optional double clutch transmission.
The 1-series uses precise aerodynamic engineering to make it as fuel efficient as possible, with a rating of 28 mpg highway. The aerodynamically enhanced front area of the 128i Coupe embodies the BMW “Efficient Dynamics philosophy”. The integrated Air Curtain guides the airstream around the front wheel housings by way of two vertical inlets in the front area. Aerodynamics are further improved when combined with the Aero wheel that comes with the optional Sport Package. By forming a “curtain” of air around the outer sides of the wheels, turbulence, as well as drag, is reduced. At the same time, the increased airflow provides optimum cooling for the engine and other components like the radiator.
There are a huge array of safety features all throughout the vehicles. Airbags include driver’s and passenger’s front airbag supplemental restraint system (SRS) with advanced technology: dual-threshold, dual-stage deployment; and front-passenger seat sensors designed to prevent unnecessary airbag deployment.
The 1-series comes with BMW Assist™, a personal emergency switchboard, intelligent navigation system and reliable information service, all rolled into one. The intelligent mobility services offer the driver information to increase safety and traveling comfort around the clock. In the event of an accident the automatic emergency call transmits data relevant for rescue services such as the vehicle’s exact position and information on the situation to the BMW Call Center. The data is then immediately passed on to the nearest emergency control center. This enables rescue services to prepare the required medical care for those involved in the accident quickly. In the unlikely event of a breakdown, the relevant vehicle data is transferred directly to BMW Mobile Service. Remote troubleshooting and assistance from BMW Teleservice is often able to find a solution, allowing drivers to continue their journey in the shortest time possible.
The convertible models use BMW’s revolutionary rollover protection system to compensate for the major weakness all convertibles have: an exposed overhead area. Concealed behind the two rear headrests of the BMW 1 Series Convertible are two built-in rollover bars. Extremely precise sensors permanently monitor the tilt of the vehicle, longitudinal and lateral acceleration, as well as contact with the ground. And in an instant, are able to detect any threat of the vehicle overturning. If an accident occurs, the rollover bars shoot up in a fraction of a second and provide protection for the vehicle’s occupants. The strengthened frame around the A pillar and windscreen also protect the head area and together with rollover bars provide comprehensive rollover protection.
